Yesterday we were supposed to start our vacation to Seacliff but they closed the RV park due to storm damage.  I told Dave I wanted to see it for myself, so we took a drive there to check it out.

Wow!  That storm wrecked havoc on the beach.  And, yes, the RV park needed to be closed.  The waves had gone over the fence and walkway and everything was covered in sand.  They told us it would be closed for at least two more weeks.

Need driftwood?  I know where you can find plenty!

Picking up one log at a time.  At this rate it will take forever!

Whole trees were washed ashore.

The amount of driftwood is overwhelming.

The sand is usually three to four feet higher than this.

The empty RV Park.  The ranger said people got out of there so fast that they left some things behind.  I would have scrambled too!

This log ended up at the top of the steps.

The sand was washed away so much that it exposed this metal fence.  We never even knew it was there.

The day was sunny and warm and I wish we were camping there instead of just visiting for the day.  But I’m glad we took a drive to see it for ourselves.
