No one can win hearts like man’s best friend and in honor of this bond between man and canine, Dog Day is celebrated.
National Dog Day takes place on August 26, 2017. Its aim is to honor dogs, and to rescue dogs from homelessness and abuse. It was founded in 2004.

You all know how important my dog is to me. I was pondering what I could do to celebrate Dog Day beside giving Kari her favorite treat, an ice cream cone. This is what I came up with:
Since pictures are my thing, and I already have many, many pictures of Kari…
I thought it would be fun to challenge myself and take pictures of other dogs.
If you have a dog that you would like me to photograph… with you, with your kids, by itself, contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I am out of town until Wednesday and I will get back to you then.
I will only do one session a day and the time would be around 5:30 p.m. I will take as many sessions as I can fit into my schedule between now and August 26. (I am unavailable the week of August 13.) You will have to come to me unless you live within a 45 minute drive. My only other criteria is that the dog is very people friendly.
This will be my way of celebrating National Dog Day.
